Interior Wrap

Interior Basement Wrap Method for Waterproofing your Basement

Waterproofing a basement from the inside by using the interior wrap method is a very popular option.  It can be done without major exterior excavation and in some cases, it can be done very quickly and economically. The following photos and photo captions show one of our projects, and the steps we take to waterproof your basement using this method.

What’s Involved?

When AquaFix performs Interior waterproofing, we start by creating a trench in the floor along the basement wall.  Once the trench is created, we install a waterproofing membrane and a sump pump.  The trench is then filled with gravel and covered with concrete.  You can view the process in the images below.

The trench is back-filled with gravel.
